Everything around the band started in December 2005, when three guys named Kevin Rettel, Ronny Petrini and Luca Tommasi from time to time hung out at some practice spaces to play some musical stuff together. It just took a little time until they decided to found a band. Obviously they still needed a drummer so that they made the choice to assimilate Yannick Zenner in their band. So the band constitution was complete: Luca became the singer and frontman of the band, while Ronny played the lead guitar, Kevin played the bass guitar and Yannick was the drummer. The band named itself SUBLIND. First they practiced at Ronny’s very comfortable garret. The four guys wanted to play some heavy shit, but somehow it didn’t really work. The first two songs they composed were surely melodic and well structured, but they were too soft and anywise it wasn’t really the kind of music they wanted to do. Therefore they decided to search a second guitar player to fortify the band and so they ended up integrating Ken Poiré. After a couple of months the band got the permission to play in a practice room in the biggest rockbuilding of Luxembourg called “Rockhal”. Unfortunately some things went a little bit wrong; there were quarrels with Kevin so that he decided to leave the band. This wasn’t really a loss for the remaining band members because they immediately found another bass guitar player called Garry Stocklausen who previously played in a band named MAN MADE SUICIDE. This is the way SUBLIND made progress and found its own style: their songs are mostly aggressive, the speed modifies from slower parts to very fast and heavy ones. This April (2007) the band recorded their first demo called THE BEGINNING OF THE END at the PRO SOUND STUDIO. In August 2007 the drummer Yannick Zenner had to leave the band because of football. He had too much training so that he wasn't able anymore to find a rehearsal time! Only after 2 weeks Pascal Langers, an old friend, joined SUBLIND. He left the band in March 2009 because of musical interests. One month later Yannick Sheerer came to SUBLIND and from this moment he is the new drummer in the band. |
