The story of Scarlet Anger is the history of the friendship between Joe Block and Fred Molitor. The guitarist and singer of Scarlet Anger know each other from their early childhood. They loved the same stuff and so came their interest in music. As teenagers they started to play music and founded a band called Born. The band released 4 albums and reached a top-ten hit in a well known luxembourgish radio-show. After years of playing shows, Joe and Fred were searching for some new guys to make music without any compromises, so they’ve started auditions in fall 2007. After some weeks the new buddies joined the band. There was Luc Weber (aka Moerph) on drums. He wasn’t a real metalhead, and liked more progressive bands, but it worked well with him. Guy Reding joined the band as guitarist. He’s the youngest guy in the band, and perhaps also the craziest. Vince Niclou joined as bass player, his favourites are more traditionnal metal bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Megadeth, Metallica… After ten months of rehearsings Scarlet Anger played their first concerts and festivals, like " Rock d’Scheier ", " Food for your senses ", "Share my Music @ Atelier ". They’ve also realized a video clip for their song « Scarlet », directed by Loïc Tanson, http://www.vimeo.com/1628432 . Unfortunately Luc had to leave in fall 2009 due to time constraints. Already a week later the band has found a new drummer in Alain Flammang (aka Skeelo). He’s got a lot of experience in metal music, and played in luxembourgish bands like « Dreaming in red » or « Hard to handle ». He’s a real metalhead and the music of Scarlet Anger got a new direction, more heavier and even faster. On december 12th 2009 Scarlet Anger released their first EP « La realidad es triste… » with 4 songs (Black Days, Scarlet, Once Again, Bewitched). Today the band is looking forward to get their music moving and to reach more people. Hoping that you’ll join them…
