It was quite impossible to pass die-hard thrashers CONTRADICTION within the last

years: european tours with bands like Overkill or Sacred Reich, steady festivalappearances

and relentless touring activities gained this four-piece the reputation of

being a kick-ass liveband. In summer 2008 Contradiction were even honoured to

become the first german metalband ever to completely tour Iceland(!).

Celebrating their 20th anniversary CONTRADICTION will release their 6th studioalbum THE

ESSENCE OF ANGER right in time, that will deliver everything a metalhead desires:

aggressive, heavy but yet melodic tunes of metal.

Massive touring activities were giving the name of CONTRADICTION a steady

circulation in magazines, liveschedules and so on. Having the name presented in

media and on many stages it lead to the support-slot for european tour of legendary

OVERKILL (USA), to be followed by festival shows at Wacken Open Air, Dong,

Suffering Life, Thrash Till Death... to name a few. This also developed a demand for

Contradiction in other countries and so the band also performed in Netherlands,

Belgium, Denmark, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and Italy.

Their first own headling-tour in 2007 also turned out as a great success: many

people attended the shows and subsequently SACRED REICH have chosen

Contradiction to be "special guest" on their european tourdates.

Early 2009 was specifically marked by studio-recordings of the new album, followed

by some live-devastations in several countries (Malta, Italy, Romania, Switzerland,

Netherlands and Germany). Now the band is preparing for a load of liveshows to

promote the upcoming smasher "THE ESSENCE OF ANGER". Be there or be square!
